Kinone

Kinone project

KINONE is a piece of software developed in the MATLAB (R2010a) programming environment and dedicated to the kinetic modelling of spectroscopic, calorimetric and concentration data in the homogeneous liquid phase.

Important notice

The use of KINONE implies the acceptance of the Terms of use. One important aspect is that the user of KINONE agrees to cite the following article in any publication that uses calculations from this program:
Billeter J., Neuhold Y.-M., Hungerbühler K., KINONE: a new software for the kinetic modelling of spectrosopic, calorimetric and concentration data, Chimia 63 (2010) 382

Free download

KINONE can be dowloaded free of charge and exists in two different packages: MATLAB P-CODE PACKAGE and STANDALONE APPLICATION PACKAGE. To decide which of two different packages best suits your needs and to then download the package, please carefully read the following table.

Matlab P-Code Package

MATLAB requirements: requires MATLAB 7.10 (R2010a)

No other requirements

Download: DownloadKinone.zip (ZIP, 470 KB)

Installation instructions:

  1. Download KinoneMAT.zip
  2. Run MATLAB and change your MATLAB Current Directory into the location of the code (e.g. under C:\Program Files\Kinone)
  3. Start Kinone by typing kinone (in lowercase) in the MATLAB Command Window

DownloadMCRInstaller.zip (ZIP, 160.4 MB) *
DownloadMRPInstaller.zip (ZIP, 1.7 MB)

Installation instructions:

  1. Download KinoneEXE.zip, MCRInstaller.zip * and MRPInstaller.zip
  2. Extract MCRInstaller.zip and run MCRInstaller.exe to deploy the MATLAB Compiler Runtime environment
  3. Extract MRPInstaller.zip and run MRPInstaller.exe to deploy the Microsoft C++ Redistributable Package environment
  4. Extract and save the content of KinoneEXE.zip on your hard-disk (e.g. under C:\Program Files\Kinone)
  5. Start Kinone by double-clicking on kinone.exe in the location of the software (e.g. under C:\Program Files\Kinone)

Contact and support:  (Only limited support is offered; exlcusively for Windows XP SP3 32-bits)

* If MATLAB 7.10 (R2010a) is installed, the download and deployment of the MATLAB Compiler Runtime (MCR) 7.13 is not required
